Type of Mission:
• Architectural Mission
• Structural Engineering Mission
• PEB Energy Performance Mission
• Health and Safety Coordination Mission (CSS)
This project concerns the complete renovation of a single-family house located in Remicourt, in the province of Liège. The main objective was to transform an existing dwelling into a contemporary, comfortable, bright and energy-efficient home, while ensuring a coherent integration into its built and landscaped environment.
The architectural intervention is based on a complete reinterpretation of the volumes, façades and outdoor areas. The project develops a sober, elegant and contemporary architectural language, characterized by a flat roof, strong horizontal lines, light vertical cladding, dark masonry, anthracite exterior joinery and large glazed openings that enhance natural light within the living spaces.
The outdoor terrace extends the living areas towards the exterior and strengthens the relationship between the house, the garden and the surrounding landscape. The access to the underground garage, retaining walls, circulation areas and exterior landscaping have been integrated into a global design approach, ensuring a coherent and functional architectural composition.
From an energy perspective, this renovation aims to significantly improve the building’s performance through a careful design of the envelope, insulation, openings and indoor comfort. As PEB Energy Performance Responsible, ArchitectANA supports the project in compliance with the energy requirements applicable in Wallonia, with particular attention to energy efficiency, thermal comfort and the long-term durability of the home.
ArchitectANA also carried out the structural engineering mission, which was essential for a complete renovation involving structural adaptations, the integration of an underground garage, retaining walls and the transformation of the existing volumes. This technical approach ensures a controlled, durable and compliant renovation.
The Health and Safety Coordination mission completes the project support by ensuring an organized, rigorous and safe execution throughout the different phases of the construction site, in accordance with applicable Belgian regulations.
This renovation project in Remicourt illustrates the multidisciplinary approach of ArchitectANA, an architecture and engineering office active in Belgium, combining architectural design, structural engineering, PEB energy performance, health and safety coordination, and technical expertise for contemporary residential projects.
Through its contemporary architecture, energy performance upgrade and landscape integration, this project represents the complete transformation of an existing single-family house into a modern, efficient and comfortable home adapted to today’s way of living.
