Privacy policy
We are aware that you place your trust in us. Therefore, we take responsibility for protecting your personal data.
Who is responsible for your data
This website is owned by ArchitectANA. The controller of your data is ArchitectANA Architecture & Engineering SRL, Rue de Fragnée 19/21, 4000 Liège, info@architectana.com.
ArchitectANA respects the privacy of all users of its website and ensures that your personal information is treated with the utmost confidentiality.
What we collect, and why
At ArchitectANA, we place great importance on your privacy. You can read this whole website without giving us any personal data: there is no form, no account and no newsletter. We only receive your data when you choose to send it to us, in the cases below.
When you write to us
When you send us an email or other messages, we may keep them. We may ask for relevant personal data for the situation in question. This helps us process your inquiries and respond to your requests.
We keep them for as long as it takes to deal with your request and, if it leads to an assignment, for as long as that runs and the legal periods that apply to it. Our email is hosted by Google (Google Workspace).
When you book a consultation
You book through our Google Calendar appointment page. There you give your first name, last name, email address and phone number, with a few words about your request. We receive them to prepare the appointment and to reach you if needed.
When you pay
- A consultation is paid when you book it, through Stripe, Google Calendar’s payment provider.
- Other payments go through a link we send you, processed by Mollie, which then returns you to a thank-you page on this website.
We never see your full card number. We receive confirmation of the payment with the details that come with it (your name, the amount, the payment method), and keep it for as long as accounting and tax law requires.
When you visit the website
Like every website, this one is served by a host, Hostinger, whose servers note each visit in a technical log: the IP address, the page requested, the date and time, and the browser used. These logs are for the website’s security and proper running. We do not use them to find out who you are, and the host deletes them after a limited period.
The fonts, images and code of this website come from our own server. The only outside service the pages call on is Google, for advertising: see the section on cookies below.
Cookies and advertising
A cookie is a small text file that a website stores in your browser. This website uses two of its own without asking for your consent, because they only remember choices you made yourself:
- lang — remembers the language you chose, so that the address architectana.com opens the website in that language next time. It holds nothing else. Duration: one year.
- consent — remembers your answer to the cookie banner: what you accepted, the date, and the version of this policy it answers, so that you are not asked again on every visit. Duration: six months, after which the banner asks again.
The website also remembers, for the length of your visit, that you have already seen the homepage’s opening animation, so as not to show it again. That stays in your browser and is erased when you close the tab.
Google Ads
We advertise on Google and measure what that brings us. For this, once a page is showing, the website fetches Google Tag Manager and the Google Ads tag from Google’s servers.
The tags measure the pages viewed, language changes, and clicks on our phone numbers, our email address and the booking button. Nothing else: not scrolling, not time spent on a page.
Until you answer, or if you refuse, no Google cookie is set. The tags only send Google signals without cookies or identifiers: the page, the time, the browser and your choice, along with your IP address, as with any request. Google uses them to estimate our ads’ results in aggregate.
If you accept ad measurement, Google Ads sets the cookie _gcl_au (and _gcl_aw when you arrive by clicking one of our ads) for 90 days. It is used for one thing: seeing which ads lead to a call, an email or a booking.
No targeted advertising. Even if you accept, your visit is not used to personalise the ads you see, or to show you ours again elsewhere (remarketing): the website always withholds that permission from Google.
Audience measurement: no audience measurement tool is in place today. If we add one (Google Analytics), it will only run with your consent, and this page will say so.
Changing your mind: you can change your choice at any time through the cookie preferences link at the bottom of every page. If JavaScript is turned off in your browser, nothing is sent to Google. You also have the option to delete all cookies from your computer and configure your browser to block cookies.
Who else processes your data
Our employees, who have access to your personal data, are required to maintain its confidentiality. We do not sell or rent your data to anyone.
To run the website and our tools, we use a few service providers, each for its own part:
- Hostinger — hosting the website (privacy policy)
- Google — our email, appointment booking and advertising (Google Tag Manager, Google Ads) (privacy policy)
- Stripe — paying for consultations (privacy policy)
- Mollie — payments by link (privacy policy)
Google and Stripe may process some data outside the European Union, in particular in the United States. These transfers are covered by the safeguards the GDPR provides for (the EU–US Data Privacy Framework or standard contractual clauses).
On what basis
We process your data:
- to answer your request and to prepare or carry out an assignment (your emails, your bookings);
- with your consent, for the Google Ads cookies;
- to meet our legal obligations (accounting for payments, and proof of your answer to the cookie banner);
- in our legitimate interest in keeping the website secure and available (the server logs), in remembering the language you chose (the lang cookie) and in estimating our ads’ results in aggregate (the cookieless signals).
Your rights
You have the legal right to:
- obtain information and access the personal data you provide;
- correct or delete this data;
- transfer this data;
- object to its processing or ask for it to be restricted;
- withdraw your consent to the Google Ads cookies at any time.
If you wish to exercise these rights, you may contact us: ArchitectANA (Rue de Fragnée 19/21, 4000 Liège) – info@architectana.com. We will contact you within a maximum of 30 days.
If you believe your data is not being handled properly, you can also lodge a complaint with the Data Protection Authority.
Changes
Any adaptations and/or changes to this site may lead to modifications of this privacy statement. Therefore, it would be advisable to regularly consult this statement.
